Presentation Night 2009
The club enjoyed their Annual Presentation Night Friday (19th June).

The under 18s had been particularly successful and received their trophies for winning the top division in the Chelmsford Youth League, convincingly, 13 points clear of the second team. They couldn't quite match that success in the League Cup, narrowly losing 2-1 to Billericay Town Colts in an exciting Final.

The under 12s who had also had a wonderful season, were runners up in their Echo League division and they too were on the stage to receive their trophies.

Players Player of the Year Awards were presented, they were:-

Seniors: James Lovage, with Danny Gunyon runner up; U/18s: Ben Rippongale, with James Dawkins runner up; U/17s: Eddie Dodman, with Rupert Roberts runner up; U/!5s: Jack Bussey and Buddy Green were joint winners; U/13s: Adam Hooper and Ryan Oxborrow were joint winners; U/12s: Charlie Snow with Alfie Hutson runner up; U/10s: Danny Whelan with Joe Southgate runner up.

A Special Award was made to James Dawkins for playing 200 games for the club. Presentations were also made to players who had played 100 matches for the club. They were: Danny Bell, Thomas Bellis, Jack Bussey, Thomas Dooks, Jack Gray, Buddy Green, Bradley Harmer, Robbie Jay, Jonathan Muir, James Peagram, Jake Ridley, Rupert Roberts, Ian Tayler, Oliver West.

Chelmsford Youth League
Under 18 Cup Final
Billericay Town Colts 2, Loughton 1

Loughton narrowly missed out on the League & Cup double in a game that they created more than enough chances to have won comfortably. Billericay Town opened the scoring after five minutes with a header from a free kick, only for Loughton to equalise almost immediately with a drive inside the far post. Good football from Loughton saw them have the better of the first half, but they were unable to add to their score, despite several opportunities. The second period was played in heavy rain, which both teams overcame admirably to continue to provide an exciting game. Billericay got the breakthru midway thru the half, with a wicked shot that skimmed unpredictably off the sodden surface and found the back of the net. Chances still came for Loughton, but they were unable to hit an equaliser.

This Sunday Loughton meet Billericay again, at home in the final league fixture of the season.
Loughton have already secured the League title and Billericay are runners up.

Pavillion
The clubs pavilion looks much smarter, Thanks to the parents of our under 12 teams players. They have spruced up the outside and given it a gleaming new coat of paint.
